Tie Guan Yin is a well known Oolong tea, and of many sampled teas we settled on this as our product for it's beautiful qualities.
The aroma is of berries and fruits, very tropical and bright. There is also however a subtle wet wood aroma. The taste is also very fruity, with a deep woody aftertaste. There is a floral tone to it also, with an earthy, mineral note.
This tea is rolled and appears as small rolled balls rather than long leaves. Oolong is (in layman terms) halfway between Green and Black tea. It is not quite as oxidised and deep as black, but also not as leafy and bright as green. The taste is somewhere between and of you haven't tasted it, we certainly think you should!
